Who are we
Yae Seed is a Japanese based seed company, located in Nagasaki. We have been very lucky to be able to have worked with companies all over the world and build very good relationships. This company started with the founder of the company, Mr. Masayoshi Yae.

Japanese Style Melons
Within Japan, Yae Nogei is a well known name throughout the Melon industry. We are constantly striving to continue to breed high valued melons, and have a big selection of varieties for you to choose from, from Earls Melons to No-net melons.
Early Onions
Our onions have been bred to be early maturity, giving great yields early on in the season. With different lines to chose from, you will be able to find the right onion to fit your growing needs.
Other Varieties we offer
For 75 years, throughout our own intensive breeding programs, we have various cultivars including Aubergine, Squash, Gourds, Pak Choi, Leaf Vegetables, Carrot and Radishes. We also breed Lisianthus for the cut flower markets.
In House Breeding
We have been breeding new varieties for many years now and we are incredibly proud of all the hard work our breeders do day in and day out. Whether it be improving our current lines or listening to customers to make new varieties, they work very hard to produce the best results.
Where We Are Located
We are situated in the south-west part of Japan, on the island of Kyushu. This part of Japan is one of the warmer regions in Japan, with usually a hot and humid summer. For around half of the year, the average temperature is over 26 degrees, making it warm for growing conditions.
Global Events
We, as a company, attend both ISF and APSA yearly, giving us a invaluable chance to interact with customers, both new and recouring, face to face. If you are attending, it would be a pleasure for us to connect with you during one of these events.
