Many people when they think about Japan, the same few places comes to everyones mind, Tokyo, Osaka and Mt. Fuji. For many people, this is the only places that they need to know, and most people who come to visit will only expeience a handful of places outside of those two main cities. Now while we might be biased seen as we are a company that is based here in Nagasaki, we think it is very unfortunate that not many people come down to see what we think is the most beautiful area of Japan.
Nagasaki

Nagasaki is down in the south of Japan on the island called Kyushu. Even though the word Kyushu translates to 9 proviences (historically, up until the Meiji period, the island was made up of 9 parts but was consolidated into 7 when Japan adopted the prefectural system), Kyushu has 7 prefectures within it and Nagasaki is the most western of them all. The weather in Nagasaki is very tropical, with very hot summers and mild winters. Rarely, Nagasaki sees snow in the winter, but if it does, its very small and only lasts a few days. There is also a rainy season that happens during July where a huge amount of rainfall occurs over the month. This means that all year round, crops can be grown here.
The beauty of Nagasaki

Nagasaki hosts many incredible and beautiful landscapes, whether it be the mountains of Unzen, Omura Bay or Mt. Inasa, which is seen in the photo above. This prefecture truely is beautiful and everywhere you go, you will be in awe as to just how stunning the nature here in Nagasaki is. During the right seasons, you will be able to see fields upon fields of Potatoes, thousands of bright orange trees and many more fruits and vegetables being grown all over the prefecture.
Final thoughts

A single blog post will never be able to do justice about how much of an amazing place Nagasaki is. We have had many customers who have made the journey down to Nagasaki say just how strikingly beautiful this area of Japan is and we can do nothing but agree with them. There is a huge amount of culture and history within this prefecture, and it would be amazing if you added it to your list of travel destinations if you are ever to come to Japan.
